What are some of the causes of leg convulsions?

Ex.: a person wakes up in the morning & is lying in bed & from the waist down gets leg convulsions, & it will only stop on it's own. Lasting maybe 2 minutes. Then it happens two more times in the same time frame. That's the only time it has happened except later in the afternoon the hands get jerky while reading a book.

If you are considering using illegal drugs to avoid feeling the very transient effects of being "pepper sprayed", I'd encourage you to seek another line of work. I was "pepper sprayed" in my eyes during my training. I wouldn't want to do it again, but it was really not all that bad.
