What Driver is Right for ME??

I am a fairly new golfer and I am having a tough time driving the ball. I can hit with precise accuracy and power with all my irons and wedges but the driver I have is just not working. My current driver is a Taylormade R5 Dual with 9.5 loft and stiff flex and it was given to me by a friend who is a very good golfer. I think that I need a higher loft and a regular flex shaft but I don't know. I tried using my moms driver once and she has a loft of 12.5 and a lighter flex and I was killing the ball with great accuracy but I feel like the ball was going way to high. PLEASE HELP ME and give some sugestions for a nice forgivable driver thats right for me. PS I am 6 ft tall if that makes a difference
