How can I make this better?
He tried to scream, but the roar of the wind snatched away his voice. His ears deafened from the pressure, hanging on while the chimera soared above the ceiling of clouds. When the chimera finally slowed - straightening its wings into a steady glide - Max found his stomach, and his voice. “This isn't so bad,” he exhaled breathlessly, catching his thoughts. Then the chimera tilted its head downwards, beginning to dive. Max closed his eyes and he could feel his fingers begin to slide, loosing his grip. Before he knew what happened a gigantic crash ruptured his body, as the wind abruptly died. He slowly opened his eyes... He was on the ground, safe.
