Pet-safe plants for water garden?

Hi there! I am planning on growing an indoor water garden, but I have been unable to find specific information on which aquatic plants are safe for pets (a cat, specifically) and which are not. I have been to the ASPCA website and several others, but they seem lacking on water plant info. Also, if there are any pet-safe houseplants that will grow well in water, let me know. Thanks!
