How do PGA Tour exemptions work? Will Rich Beem be exempt if he falls outside 125, how about Duval?

Exemptions exist for players that fall outside of the 125 on the prior years earnings list. There are medical exemptions, sponsor exemptions, career earnings exemptions, past tournament winner exemptions, etc. Duval could get partial exemption on "needs only basis" (commisioners call, major medical) if he doesn't make the 125 cut, however, he has entered Q school for 2010. He is exempt for The Masters and The U.S. Open for 2010 because of his 2nd at The U.S. Open in '09 regardless of what else he does. Beem may be headed for sponsor exemptions for 2010. Didn't catch him on any Q-school lists
