I have been touched by a tv doentary, should I contact the person in it?

I watched a doentary the other night about a lady who has devoted her life to others. I was so touched by this that I looked on her website, and I came across a telephone number to contact her. Do you think it is inappropriate for me to contact her just to wish her the best of luck with the project in the future, and let her know how touched I was by her sheer devotion?
