If my fuel pump just died, would my car even start?

Usually if your fuel pump goes bad, your car won't start at all. There's a couple of ways to see if it's your fuel pump. First, when you turn your car ignition to the on position without turning the engine on you should be able to hear your fuel pump buzz for a brief second. Also check your engine for a check/pressure type valve, it should be located on your fuel line as it comes into your engine. Press that to see if any gas comes shooting out of it, or if it barely has any pressure at all. Next you should check your fuses. There's a relay fuse that runs your fuel pump that sometimes will go bad. Finally check to make sure you have gas in your tank. Don't trust that gas gauge because they go bad to. Do those things before you change out that fuel pump. Thats such a pain in the and expensive to change.
